Scaffolding, also called scaffold or staging, is a temporary structure used to support a work crew and materials to aid in the construction, maintenance and repair of buildings, bridges and all other man-made structures. 

Steel construction scaffolding offers excellent strength and durability while maintaining some elasticity, which helps prevent cracking. Steel can support extremely heavy loads & is a necessity for tall structures, where the weight of the scaffolding itself requires structural strength.
